.On ArtisticalGreatness we talk about things that help you achieve greatness, whether it’s through tech, clothing, or travel/lifestyle. Maintaining good hygiene is a main component of that. Let’s talk about the Allegro sonic electric toothbrush. “The world’s first portable sterile sonic toothbrush” or so they say.
There are many electric toothbrushes on the market, from Philips to Oral-B. Sometimes you don’t know where to start, especially if you’re someone coming from the manual toothbrush. The Allegro toothbrush is very different from electric toothbrushes on the market in terms of features and that had us intrigued. Is it worth it?
The Allegro is a fabulous looking toothbrush. The design is like if you were to tell Apple to create a toothbrush. It’s very minimal, with some nice touches. I especially love the subtle lights and shiny steel touch. You can tell a lot of attention to detail was put into creating this toothbrush it stands out from others, and that matters. The toothbrush body is completely round. This can mean you put it down on a counter it can roll away. Some other toothbrushes like the Sonicare have a more boxy body stopping it from rolling which would be a nice additional feature for the Allegro to have.
The brush head on the Allegro is pretty large. it was a bit tough for me to use at first but I got used to it. The bristles on the Allegro brush head were also quite a bit harder than what I was used to, but also after a while you get used to it. Although it would be nice if they offered different options and sizes to choose from.
The prominent feature of the Allegro is how the cup is a portable all in one device that sterilizes, dries, and charges the toothbrush which is super convenient. Another convenient factor for me is that it charges and comes with a micro USB cable. You can get a micro USB cable just about anywhere and that gives you peace of mind of knowing you can get one from a device you own if you lose it.
It is IPX7 Waterproof, features 3 cleaning modes – clean mode, sensitive mode, clean and white mode and gives a short frequency vibration to indicate when you should switch to a different part of your mouth. This ensures you spend the required amount of time in each area.
The Allegro has an automatic sensor that detects when the brush is in place and starts the UV light for sanitizing. It will run for 15 minutes with lights on the side to indicate. Once sanitized, it goes into a drying mode for another 15 minutes.
The cap feature is awesome, it’s not only good for covering your toothbrush up and storing it in your luggage when travelling but also protecting the toothbrush from the nasty germs floating around your bathroom.
The entire charging station being the travel station is super handy for travel. With other toothbrushes, you’d have to buy it separately. I love that you can put the cup on top every time and protect your toothbrush from the environment as well as the sanitizing and drying feature. It would be great if the toothbrush had some kind of rubber at the back for tongue scraping. I also love how when you charge it once it lasts up to 30 days.
Conclusion – Is it worth it?
All in all the allegro sonic toothbrush is a great product. It does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. It’s sterile, convenient to carry and the toothbrush heads are reasonably price. If you don’t already own an electric toothbrush or aren’t happy with your current one. I would highly recommend trying this one out, it’s totally worth it.
